Hupa & Yurok Stories & Culture, Part I features special guest Glenn Moore--a Yurok language teacher, singer and Hupa tribal member from Hoopa, California--who will share some Hupa traditions from a male perspective, sing and tell some Yurok stories. A dinner of freshwater harvested salmon will be provided for those in attendance. All are welcome! Come celebrate November as National Native American Heritage Month and learn about Yurok traditions, listen to stories and songs while eating a salmon dinner traditionally prepared by our guest speaker. Presented by the Native American Cultural Center, Archaeology Department, Stanford American Indian Organization, Creative Writing Program, Native American Studies, Stanford Storytelling Project, Comparative Studies in Race and Ethnicity, Stanford Medical Association and Anthropology Department.
