A preview screening of the PBS special “Out of Many, One - a Musical Offering from Chicago - in the Spirit of John Paul”. It features performances of Bogurodzica, Bach: Magnificat, Beethoven: Eroica, and Edward T. Cone: Psalm 91, conducted by Gilbert Levine and performed in Orchestra Hall, Chicago, with the Chicago Symphony Chorus and the Lyric Opera of Chicago Orchestra. The film also features on-air visits to the Art Institute of Chicago (Chagall “American Windows” and “Chicago Picasso"), Civic Opera House (Home of the Lyric Opera), Pilgrim Baptist Church (Home of Gospel and Mahalia Jackson), St. Hyacinth Basilica (Celebrating Jan Ignacy Paderewski and the work of Teresa Albor et al.), and KAM Isaiah Synagogue (Founded in 1847). The program will be broadcast on Public Television this Summer 2013.
