Contemporary Issues in Indian Law Conference

Join the Stanford Native American Law Students Association (NALSA) for a daylong conference looking at contemporary issues in Indian law.  We will look more in depth at the current status of Indian law, and explore the ongoing challenges and innovations taking place within the legal landscape of Native communities.  The conference will include discussions on: Modern Indian Law in the Context of Recent Supreme Court Cases Tribal Jurisdictional Issues after VAWA Keynote Speaker Angela Riley, Director of UCLA's American Indian Studies Center Gaming and Tribal Compacting   Resources on Reservations The day will include breakfast, lunch, and reception following the conference.  An application requesting MCLE credit for this activity is pending for approval by the State Bar of California.
