Join Carlos Arrieta of San Francisco's Rayko Photo Center in a detailed, step-by-step demonstration of the wet plate process that Carleton Watkins used to produce the photographs featured in Carleton Watkins: The Stanford Albums. Participants will witness the process of coating, sensitizing, exposing, and developing a photo and will also go home with their very own wet plate portrait!
