Larry Diamond, Senior Fellow at the Hoover Institution and Freeman Spogli Institute for International Studies, will discuss the roles he has been able to play as a scholar in supporting the development of democratic institutions around the world. As Peter E. Haas Faculty Co-Director at the Haas Center for Public Service, Professor Diamond will also share his perspective on the Haas Center’s work and future opportunities. Branner Fireside Chats are part of the Haas Center for Public Service's Voices of Public Service Leadership series. These informal, residential talks provide opportunities for students to explore various forms of public service and connect them to their academic experiences. All students and members of the Stanford community are welcome.
