This event is part of the Program on Human Rights Speakers Series: Human Trafficking is Global Slavery. Cindy Liou is a staff attorney at Asian Pacific Islander Legal Outreach. Cindy currently practices law in the areas of human trafficking, immigration law, family law, and domestic violence. She is the coordinator for the Human Trafficking Project at the agency. Before working at API Legal Outreach, Cindy practiced intellectual property litigation and handled a variety of pro bono cases at Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati. Cindy graduated from Stanford Law School and received her double degree in Political Science and Business Administration with a minor in Human Rights from the University of Washington. Before becoming an attorney, Cindy consulted for the Corporate Social Responsibility Department of Starbucks Coffee Company.
